What "Ri" in front of a verb means in Italian?

Eamples:
FARE = TO DO
RIFARE = TO DO AGAIN
MANGIARE = TO EAT
RIMANGIARE = TO EAT AGAIN
STUDIARE = TO STUDY
RISTUDIARE = TO STUDY AGAIN
